PRESCHOOL STORY TIME (THURSDAYS) - 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM.  East Branch Public Library, 545 Westmorland Rd. Saint John.  Join them for fun stories, fingerplays, songs and a creaft to take home at their Preschool Storytime Session available every Thursday during the Summer. Contact 643-7250.

 

 

June 6th to Sep. 4th         EXHIBITION: PLEIN AIR PAINTERS OF THE BYA OF FUNDY.  10:00 AM to 4:00 pm.  Saint John Arts Centre, 20 Hazen Avenue, Uptown Saint John.  Annual exhibit of new work by Plein Air Painters of the Bay of Fundy.  Landscapes painted outdoors and on-location (en plein air), featuring local scenes.  Work is by twelve members from New Brunswick and Maine working in oil, pastel, watercolour and acrylic.  Contact:  633-4870

JULY 9th-Aug 20th       FRIDAY'S "NIGHT TRAIN" OPEN MIC YOUTH CAFE  6:30 PM - 9:00 PM. Saint John Arts Centre, 20 Hazen Avenue, Uptown Saint John. Don't miss this opportunity to hear some up-and-coming young artists performing in the groovy, relaxed atmosphere of this acoustic cafe. And for all you artists who just need to get your music "out there", come on down and play some tunes for a home-made audience. Bring your friends, your ears, and a couple bucks for some coffee. Come join us as we explore the various uses of plants and trees found in your backyard. On our journey, we will discuss how to identify useful plants of New Brunswick's forest and even toxic ones that can cause serious harm when eaten. Meet at the Information Kiosk parking lot.
